Join winemakers Kevin Sass and Molly Lonborg for an exclusive, interactive winemaking workshop featuring an inside look at the Halter Ranch “Barrel Experiment,” a vertical tasting of our renowned Block 22 Syrah and closing with an unforgettable sunset train ride through the vineyards. You won’t want to miss this!

Part One

Wine and Oak Barrel Aging

In this tutorial, we explore the significance of oak in the wine aging process. We taste and discover the nuances between American, French, and Hungarian oak and take an inside look at the Halter “Barrel Experiment,” an exceptionally unique program within the Paso Robles Wine AVA.

Part Two

Block 22 Syrah Vertical

The striking beauty of our Block 22 Syrah owes much to its demanding, yet gloriously creative winemaking style. We dive into the special qualities of the “Block 22” vineyard site and reveal the secret barrel fermentation process that produces a wine so unique in texture we never have enough of it.
