Tempranillo is a varietal indigenous to Spain. Its name is derived from the Spanish word temprano, meaning early, a reference to the fact that Tempranillo often ripens weeks before its other red grape counterparts. The 2019 Tempranillo exhibits rustic aromas of dried cherries, blackberries, and a hint of leather. The palate is fruit-driven upon entry, with flavors of raspberry and mulling spices. The mid-palate and finish are firm yet round in tannin structure, making this wine decisively age-worthy.
Pair with charcuterie, iberian ham, and paella.
