Production Notes

Petit Verdot is one of the six red grape varietals that are grown in Bordeaux, France, and its name loosely translates to “little green one”, a reference to its late ripening behavior. Petit Verdot thrives in warm climates, and although it is traditionally used in small amounts for blending, we have had an exceptional vineyard block of Petit Verdot that has produced a limited quantity of wine worthy to be bottled on its own. Petit Verdot is known for its color, structure, and tannins, and this wine lives up to these attributes. This offering has aromas of blackberries and cardamom that leads to a big palate with flavors of black fruit, licorice and sarsaparilla.

Pair with roasted lamb dishes, short ribs, and bold meats.
